Forum: EcoDensity and Heritage
Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 7pm to 9:30pm
How will EcoDensity impact heritage? Will it benefit or threaten heritage conservation? Will the Density Bank continue to be the effective tool that makes heritage retention economically viable or will its expansion to include green projects threaten not only heritage retention but the Density Bank itself? Will Econdensity support the preservation of Historic Areas such as Gastown or will it lead to the alteration of the heritage character of the area?
Join a panel of speakers to debate the ecological, cultural and economic benefits of heritage retention and the impact's of EcoDensity on heritage conservation, community context, character and identity. Panel members include; Suzanne Anton (Vancouver City Councilor); Helen Cain (Planning & Policy Consultant); Brent Toderian (Director of Planning, City of Vancouver). More info >
